Heather Raymont is a Toronto, Ontario based visual artist and arts educator. Her education includes an Honours B.A. in Psychology and a B.F.A., both from the University of Western Ontario, a B.Ed. and an Honours Specialist in Visual Arts from University of Toronto. She also also attended the University of British Columbia in the graduate program of Architecture, The Paris American Academy and École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, France, in the faculties of Visual Arts.
Her work ranges from video installations to painting, textile and site-specific, large-scale drawing. She has shown her work nationally in group and solo exhibitions, including such places as A Space (Toronto), The New Gallery (Calgary), as well as international exhibitions in Paris France and Puerto Rico. Additionally, she has been involved in exhibitions in non-gallery sites and with artist collectives, including Phoebe Street, Made In Canada, and Sea Monkeys. Presently, she is an active arts educator and has acted as Head of Visual Arts at Etobicoke School of the Arts, in Toronto, Ontario.
